If you’re looking for a place to exercise and hang out with the girls, “Body and Soul Fitness” is the place!

Come join us in room 49/51 at Faith Church Monday and Friday mornings at 7:30 a.m for a work-out that includes interval training, strength training, cardio, walking, stretching and more. A variety of exercise videos are used to motivate and guide us.

In addition to our exercising we chat, share life stories, enjoy lots of laughs, offer encouragement, love and support. No one is too young or too old! Prayer time on Fridays and optional coffee/breakfast after the Monday morning work-out provide a time to grow spiritually and mentally. You need not be a member of Faith Church or make a long-term commitment to participate. There is no costs to attend.

As the newest member of the Body and Soul family I would love to say how much I enjoy the exercise and how eager I always am to meet my new friends at 7:30 am on Mondays and Fridays......however that would be a lie and since this class is a faith centered class I shouldn’t lie. The truth is I normally dislike exercise but after having spinal surgery in 2024 I became more sedentary than ever. On top of that I was lonely . I started attending Faith UMC 3 years ago and really only knew a few people and even fewer people knew my name . So I decided to make some changes and the Body and Soul group seemed like a good place to start. While I’ll never be a fitness fanatic I continue to see slight improvements in my ability and stamina. And the best part is I’ve been able to meet some amazing new friends that have made me feel so welcome. They even know my name!! Body and Soul has been a very good fit for me. I still don’t love exercising but I do love doing it with friends.
I really enjoy our fitness class. The exercises are effective and the conversation makes the class go by fast. We rely on each to be prayer partners and support each other with life’s challenges.
I’m so grateful to be in a group like this, we bond well and care so much for each other. We have a great leader, I never feel alone with friends like this group.
I have been participating in Body n Soul for over 8 years. It is much more than an exercise program! It is an opportunity for prayer, service and relationship building with other women. We support each other in times of hardship and celebration, providing encouragement, recipes, health tips, brainstorms and of course, hugs, as need- ed. The group has no age limits or particular skill levels. I've made many new friends over the years. God is so good, and I am grateful.
I am very thankful to be apart of Body and Soul. This class has helped me not only physically but mentally and spiritually too. I always look forward to the special times we have together. I learn so much from the ladies in our group, they are an inspiration to me. Love the class! The dedication to health and fitness is infectious!! I love the circuit training most of all! Body & Soul is a really great group of fun, caring, and sharing women. All different exercise skills are welcome. Sometimes, we exercise our mouths more than any part of our bodies. This is the part we call Soul. We are always there for each other.
As the name implies, this group not only provides exercise to keep our bodies moving and fit but also soothes our minds and souls. This is a wonderful “gang” of compas- sionate, godly women and I have found much joy and support from being a part of it! It is so much more than just exercise.
Body and Soul fitness class is so much more than an exercise group that exists to improve one’s physical health. Emotional, physical and social benefits abound in this class.
We are a group of soul sisters who definitely exercise, but also praise God, celebrate, encourage and sometimes cry together. We support one another in tough times and in awesome times and all other times in between.
The women in this group pour out encouragement and positivity. We literally have each other’s backs. Our sisterhood nourishes deep relationships that inspire healthy habits and spiritual growth.
My joining the Body and Soul exercise group began as a way to increase my energy, my flexibility, my strength and to keep moving. The bonus is the support, the kind- ness and the warmth of all the friendships I made with this group. It has all been such a blessing!
