"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." — 1 Peter 4:10
Heather truly embodies this verse, joyfully using her gifts to serve others and help you discover how you can use yours here at Faith Church! As our Guest Coordinator, she's here to help you navigate your journey, whether you're searching for a new ministry, a welcoming small group, or a Sunday school class that's the perfect match for your gifts and desires.
Since joining Faith Church in 2016, Heather has been deeply involved in various small groups and Sunday school classes. She loves serving, and one of her favorite ways to contribute is through our vibrant Vacation Bible School ministry. Beyond VBS, Heather also dedicates her time as a member of the Staff Parish Relations Committee and the Bellefonte Playschool Advisory Board, reflecting her passion for how our church community connects and grows together.
Outside of her vital role at Faith Church, Heather cherishes quiet moments with a good cup of coffee on the front porch. She also enjoys cooking, eating, wine tasting, traveling, and camping. Most of all, she loves spending quality time with her family and friends. Heather lives in Zion with her husband, Jeremy, their daughter, Hallee, and their beloved 12-pound Havapoo, Sammie.
A lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Heather grew up in Washington, PA, before coming to this area to attend Penn State, where she earned a degree in Crime, Law, and Justice. She served as a police officer in State College for over 17 years, a challenging career she eventually left to prioritize family time and reduce stress. Now, as the assistant to the Chief at SCPD, she has more flexibility to enjoy watching Hallee's sporting events and making wine with Jeremy, embracing life's simpler joys.
